As I described in https://bugzilla.altlinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26009 , when started, the Emacs window is larger than the height of the screen in xfce in Simply Linux beta 2011-06-20.

It would be nice if the Emacs window would respect the height of the screen.

Of course, a workaround is to maximize the window in order for it to fit to the screen.

The screen dimensions reported by xdpyinfo:

  dimensions:    1024x600 pixels (270x158 millimeters)
