/etc/init.d/acpid implies that PID of acpid is stored in /var/run/acpid.pid but it isn\'t.

As a consequense, stopping acpid by means of initscript doesn\'t work.

as acpid seems to get shipped with Compact this major bug is escalated to block one.

Эээ... я так pidfile и не нашел.  Хоть убери из инитскрипта:

# pidfile: /var/run/acpid.pid

т.к.:

trickster:~> /sbin/pidof acpid
3395

trickster:~> sudo cat /var/run/acpid.pid 
Password:
cat: /var/run/acpid.pid: No such file or directory
