Please upgrade! This version of Tor (0.4.0.5) is not recommended, according to the directory authorities. Recommended versions are: 0.3.5.10,0.3.5.11,0.4.2.7,0.4.2.8,0.4.3.3-alpha,0.4.3.4-rc,0.4.3.5,0.4.3.6,0.4.4.1-alpha,0.4.4.2-alpha,0.4.4.3-alpha,0.4.4.4-rc

Ещё предложил бы:

1) ввиду того, что конфиг у тора один, а не россыпь, вынести его из выделенного каталога, а для расцветки синтаксиса в mcedit изменить имя: /etc/tor.conf

2) в связи с п.1, а также для запуска его всё же демоном, изменить следующие строчки юнит-файла в секции [Service]:

Type = simple
ExecStart = /usr/bin/tor --runasdaemon 0 -f /etc/tor/torrc --user _tor

на

Type = forking
ExecStart = /usr/bin/tor --runasdaemon 1 -f /etc/tor.conf --user _tor

или

ExecStart = /usr/bin/tor -f /etc/tor.conf --user _tor

включив в /etc/tor.conf опцию RunAsDaemon 1
