In this case, the severity is much worse: So, first I open the ftp directory (ftp://etik/), which contains this entry in Russian. In order to read the name, I select "UTF-8" in "View > Encoding" menu. Это при выставлении вручную View > Character Encoding > More Encodings > Unicode > Unicode (UTF-8) Специально перезапустил xinetd из рутшелла utf-ной локали и проверил, что lftp-4.3.5-alt1 видит и входит.
