    <thetext>I installed 4.1 Desktop from the DVD. I followed the defaults in the installer (except for manually making the partitions).

It doesn&apos;t start anything on boot now.

The last things that can be seen on the screen (for example, when booting &quot;failsafe&quot;) are:

I performed the installation once again: on XFS, but with slightly different partition layouts and with more packages.
