    <thetext>Установил gnumeric-light + те пакеты которые он потребовал, пробую открыть xls файл созданный в 1с 7.7  и вместо кириллицы вижу кракозябры.</thetext>

    <thetext>Видимо проблема в том что 1с сохраняет файлы в формате старого офиса типа офис 5-95. Файлы из более новых версий открываются нормально... Но все же хотелось бы чтоб работало и с 1с файлами. В инете встречал упоминание что проблема эта со шрифтами, которых нехватает.</thetext>

какие шрифты госпади... gnumeric как и почти все кроме oocalc  не понимает что там cp1251.
Посмотрите на свой файл из 1с в vim в cp1251, а потом откройте его и сохраните в xls в oocalc и снова посмотрите.</thetext>
