В auto-mode-alist добавляются шаблоны \"\\.fo\" и \"\\.xsl\" - это неверно; из-за этого, в частности, файл font-lock.el.bz2 открывается в xsl-mode. Должно быть \"\\\\.fo\\\\\'\" и \"\\\\.xsl\\\\\'\". 2.
