железка ноут lenovo x230

установил ядро 4.19.79 (-78 тоже)
и после загрузки не запустились Х с дравйером modesettings
попытал счастья с драйвером intel - поведение тоже, не запучкаются Х

без указания драйвера запустились в режиме какого-то fbdev,
без второго монитора, с непривычным размером шрифтов.</thetext>

поскольку Вы, возможно, из далекого прошлого обновлялись, проверьте нет ли у Вас в системе пакета  xorg-drv-vboxvideo

помниться что ядро std-def полгода назад запускалось вполне нормально, (даты не помню когда запускал...)

установил, 
перегрузился, все теперь работает.
