I am using ALT Linux Desktop 4.1 and it it simply prefect. I already submitted this bug but I think it was missed by the developers. Since ALT Linux Desktop is for home users mostly it would be a great idea to offer the "mklivecd" or any remaster package for home users on ALT Linux Desktop so they can make custom cd/dvd of their installed ALT Linux Desktop system. I place some urls here which might help http://www.linux.com/articles/44293 http://www.pclinuxonline.com/wiki/RemasterLiveCD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mklivecd Thanks, Regards, No Consideration for a remastering package as yet? I (slowly) work on a bit different direction: creating derivative distros while having to only describe the difference. The wiki page (in Russian) is here: http://www.altlinux.org/Mkimage/Profiles/next Most READMEs in the mkimage-profiles.git tree are in Russian too (and that's quite on purpose), but I will translate and maintain them in English either as some reasonable point of a) interest b) maturity is reached. This doesn't conflict with what you propose but "it's linux, you need it, you do it" -- I can try and help with doing the port, if you will try your hand at it :) Поддержка дистрибутива завершена.
