После установки ssmtp отсутствует симлинк /usr/sbin/sendmail (должен быть и указывать на ssmtp, причём поскольку в том же каталоге -- лучше без %_sbindir вообще).  Или сбэкпортить сизифный, где бинарник сразу по этому пути?

В Сизиф ушло исправленное, в бранч бэкпортнут желающие :)
