С аккаунта @altlinux.org заходим в конференцию tyumen@conference.altlinux.org, а вот при использовании другого jabber-аккаунта зайти уже не удаётся, psi пишет такое:

Невозможно присоединиться к конференции.
Причина: Remote server not found.
A remote server or service specified as part or all of the JID of the intended recipient does not exist.

хотя сервер резолвится
# host conference.altlinux.org
conference.altlinux.org is an alias for www.altlinux.org.
www.altlinux.org has address 194.107.17.79

Другие люди попробовали присоединиться с помощью pidgin и qip - тоже не вышло.

Должен смотреть на jabber.altlinux.org ?

Насколько мне известно, conference.altlinux.org создавался много лет назад для задач обслуживания конференций, проводимых ALT Linux.  С тех пор что-то изменилось?

Ну вам там виднее, что изменилось, а что нет. Факт имеет место быть - в связи с тем, что conference.altlinux.org резолвится не туда же куда и jabber.altlinux.org, в jabber-конфы с левых аккаунтов зайти не получится.

conference теперь CNAME на jabber.
