Было бы хорошо при отсутствии любого поддерживаемого загрузчика (например, в чруте для сетевой загрузки) вываливать что-нить вроде "warning: no bootloader found" вместо некрасивого /sbin/installkernel: line 133: /sbin/lilo: No such file or directory
