После обновления cyrus-sasl2-2.1.24-alt2 до cyrus-sasl2-2.1.24-alt3 имеем:
# /etc/init.d/saslauthd start
Starting saslauthd service: saslauthd[11938] :unknown authentication mechanism: ldap                                                                                [FAILED]

Проверяем:
# saslauthd -v
saslauthd 2.1.24
authentication mechanisms: getpwent kerberos5 rimap shadow

Предидущая версия сообщала:
# saslauthd -v
saslauthd 2.1.24
authentication mechanisms: getpwent kerberos5 pam rimap shadow ldap

Сломалась сборка, причём давно, но разлом всплыл только при отправке сборки в Сизиф:

checking for pam_start in -lpam... ./configure: line 7100: ac_fn_c_try_link: command not found
no
checking for ldap_initialize in -lldap... ./configure: line 7259: ac_fn_c_try_link: command not found
no

и ещё много аналогичных ошибок в configure.
