After I had the problem with booting the SL's live/installations CD -- https://bugzilla.altlinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26043 , I wanted to examine the way the CD was created. But the pages I have found on http://altlinux.org (looking the info about the process of creating the SL CD image) seem to be too old: http://www.altlinux.org/Mkimage/Profiles/Desktop doesn't mention the source for the fress Simply Linux; http://www.altlinux.org/Mkimage/Profiles/releases too. It seems that the fresh SL images are produced according to http://git.altlinux.org/people/boyarsh/packages/?p=mkimage-profiles-desktop.git;a=blob;f=Makefile.in;hb=HEAD , but this is not clear from the pages on http://altlinux.org . It would be useful if http://www.altlinux.org/Mkimage/Profiles/Desktop and http://www.altlinux.org/Mkimage/Profiles/releases were updated to list the information about the fresh distro images. (As for me personally, I can't do this well because I don't know for sure what were the sources for these images.)

Yes, it is right place in the most cases. Or you can try my repository http://git.altlinux.org/people/sem/packages/?p=mkimage-profiles-desktop.git;a=summary, but here I often break the history.
