Если после dns какой-то другой модуль уже добавил себя (это делают libnss-myhostname и libnss-fallback), то postinstall не срабатывает.
Должно быть достаточно в s/^\(hosts:[[:blank:]].\+\)\(dns\)$/ убрать $.

В http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/nss-mdns.git/tree/nss-mdns.spec есть примеры более правильных скриптов.

Кто будет фиксить?
