$ gear-cronbuild-apply-hooks --help|fgrep verbose
  -v, --verbose                     print a message for each action;
$ fgrep verbose /usr/bin/gear-cronbuild-apply-hooks
  -v, --verbose                     print a message for each action;

т.е. опция есть, а ее поддержки в коде нет.

$ rpm -q gear-cronbuild
gear-cronbuild-1.36-alt1.noarch
