Было 4.19.12-un-def-alt1, сделал 

apt-get update; update-kernel

Приехало 4.19.20-un-def-alt1. После перезагрузки не поднялись Иксы, оказалось, что нет каталога

/lib/modules/4.19.20-un-def-alt1/nVidia

Повторно воспроизвести не удалось, но какие-то странные симптомы время от времени всплывают

Вылязят концы последних изменений rpm.
