После активации проприетарного драйвера nvidia , splash не загружается , бегут строки , хотя в параметре ядра загрузчика grub этот параметр включен .

На проприетарном nvidia сплеш не работает, некуда выводить графический сплеш. Поэтому включается fallback тема text (три точки). Чтобы не бежали строчки, можно удалить systemd-settings-enable-showstatus. Но предпочтительнее отключить splash.
