mate-panel 1.28 бесконечно перезапускается, если не установлен dconf-editor.
Ошибка такая при этом:
(mate-panel:46930): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 21:39:21.004: Settings schema 'ca.desrt.dconf-editor.Settings' is not installed
