В репозитории старая версия Lazarus 3.2. Требуется более новая версия Lazarus 3.6.
Т.к. предположительно на более свежих версиях решена проблема разработки под gtk2 с OpenGL. Т.к. на более новой версии 3.4 в MS Windows 7 x64 таких проблем нет.
