Changelog of NVIDIA drivers 1.0-4191 tells that they are disabling hardware XRENDER acceleration by default with this release; setting it back on is somewhat non-trivial for average user.

It could make sense to add this line to XF86Config-4\'s Section \&quot;Device\&quot; when configuring for Driver \&quot;nvidia\&quot;:
