располагается утилита, которая позволяет легко превратить cd iso образ в загрузочную флешку.
При тестировании и даже при работе иногда требуется не портить болванки, а одноразово сделать флешку под текущую задачу для загрузки.

UNetbootin allows you to create bootable Live USB drives for a variety of Linux distributions from Windows or Linux, without requiring you to burn a CD. You can either let it download one of the many distributions supported out-of-the-box for you, or supply your own Linux .iso file if you've already downloaded one or your preferred distribution isn't on the list.

Плюс - было бы неплохо попасть к ним в список поддерживаемых дистрибутивов:
 ... Then, file a bug report and provide a link to the kernel/initrd, or disk image file(s), and your support for your distribution will be added in the next release of UNetbootin.
(тогда все пользующиеся этой утилитой с офсайта смогут легко скачивать и пробовать Altlinux). 

Плюс - можно сделать вариант, поддерживающий только все дистрибутивы Altlinux и раздавать его с сайта:
