(Desktop 4.1)

The sound is very quiet even when the volume setting is maximal on HDA Intel
(Realtek) soundacrd (in a Sony Vaio). This true for both the embedded
loudspeaker and for external loudspeakers plugged into the headphones jack.

But after rebooting from Windows the sound is satisfactorily loud (and also in
Windows the sound is OK). After turning the power of the computer off the sound
is again very quiet.
