ldd switchspell.so
        libaspell.so.15 => /usr/lib/libaspell.so.15 (0xb7e26000)
        libgtkspell.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgtkspell.so.0 (0xb7e20000)
        libenchant.so.1 => /usr/lib/libenchant.so.1 (0xb757f000)

Это непорядок. libaspell не нужен.
Более того, на моей инсталляции это вызвало неработоспособность плагина.

Алексей, пожалуйста, приложи патч, который отрывает libaspell
