Вышел rc1. может релиза ждать не стоит ? Ключевой момент (на мой взгляд): 

    * Jabber: New protocol plugin for the Jabber protocol, supporting:
          o Sending and receiving messages (including messages received when being offline)
          o Adding and removing users (including authorization management)
          o Typing notifications
          o Fetching users vcard
          o "Buzzing" users (i.e. sending messages to get the receivers attention)

По личному опыту стоит однозначно, если категорической неработоспособности текущей версии нет.
