xfdesktop-4.8.2-alt1

In the icons settings of xfdesktop, there is a setting to display the removable devices on the desktop.

I suggest to turn this on by default (now it is off in Simply Linux beta 2011-08-11), because it would give at least some intuitive display of what is happening with the devices that are plugged in. (And a place to unmount them through a menu.)

In Russian, it's: "Значки" > "Съёмные устройства"

Эта опция была выключена по моей просьбе. После загрузки LiveCD она приводит к появлению нескольких дисков на столе, что не приносит пользы и плохо смотрится. Между тем в Thunar все нужное видно.
