And if running without gdm (login and startx), sometimes it crashes, sometimes it does not. It always segfaults, sometimes it does not crash, sometimes it crashes instantly, sometimes after some while; also, most crashes leave me with no terminal, no nothing.. i have to alt+sysrq+RESUIB.

When running with gdm, most times after relogin I have some black squares on the screen.
Nvidia board, nvidia driver, geforce 8400gs.
nvidia_glx_275.09.07-275.09.07-alt93
kernel-image-el-smp-2.6.32-alt24

With latest kernel (either 2.6 or 3) and latest nvidia driver I have no opengl support, and it also crashes. That's why I installed an older kernel.

This seems unrelated, libreoffice-3.4.3.2-alt1 would segfault right at the load time here.

> Fatal X error - Restarting :0
Rather seems like X trouble... I *rarely* get spontaneous X server restarts (usually at some application startup, like psi-plus or firefox it seems) with a skewed backtrace on its tty (intel video, and unreproducible by me so far).

Hmm...see also #22755

Would be nice to retest with current versions (http://en.altlinux.org/regular might be helpful, these don't contain LO but allow to get it installed onto tmpfs with plain apt-get given enough memory).
