gdm2.20-2.20.8-alt6 in the live system in Simply Linux 6.0.2 RC2 DVD.

Something happened with the running X (perhaps, I/O problem with the DVD) and X finished; after that, there was some error dialog in the Linux console (number 8), but it is unreadable because black squares are displayed instead of the Russian letters, like this:

[root@localhost ~]# setterm -dump 8; cat screen.dump

                                                      Ŀ

                                                         X-.

                                                      Ĵ
                                                                         < OK >

[root@localhost ~]#

I suggest to either use English for the console messages of GDM or to set up the console correctly for displaying the Russian messages.

(But it's not a bug probably, merely a hardware problem.)
