$ krb5-config --libs
-L/usr/lib/krb5 -Wl,-rpath -Wl,/usr/lib/krb5 -lkrb5 -lk5crypto -lcom_err -lresolv

rpath should not be there.

This is deliberate decision to put krb5 into /usr/lib/krb5 and use rpaths here.
