Ядро версии 4.7.2, постоянно вылезают такие сообщения и тачпад отваливается:
psmouse serio1: TouchPad at isa0060/serio1/input0 lost sync at byte 4

В сети есть разные советы на эту тему, которые не очень помогают.

Вроде как стало полегче с параметрами ядру:
i8042.reset i8042.nomux

Поживём-посмотрим.
