As Simply is targeted to new home users widely, it is very unlikely that any kernel update would be done without a popup advertisement.
Then users will end with a very old outdated kernel, wich is a security issue.

A great improvement would be a popup triggering the very nice alterator kernel-update gui module for exemple, informing the user that a new kernel is available...
