aspell-ispell aborts with option -t

Master 2.4
rpm -qf /usr/bin/aspell-ispell = aspell-ispell-0.60.0-alt0.5

[igor@fourth igor]$ aspell-ispell -t /path/to/file
Ошибка: : Ключ "tex-hyphen" не известен.

[igor@fourth igor]$ aspell-ispell -t -d russian /path/to/file
Ошибка: : Ключ "tex-hyphen" не известен.

это приводит к зависанию в emacs при проверке орфографии tex файла.

Есть слух, что люди комментировали 
OPTION add-tex-hyphen
 и все заработало.

Пробовал aspell-0.60.2-alt2 (Sisyphus). 
еще мрачнее
[igor@devel igor]$ aspell-ispell -t /path/to/file
Ошибка: Фильтр "tex" не существует.

Первый шаг к совместимости --- хотя бы игнорировать mode=TeX
