6 virtual terminals is a lot if you don't use them, but if you're working in
text mode (as I sometimes do on my very tiny laptop), it's nice to have. Rather
than commenting them out, you could change the inittab to:

1:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty1
2:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty2
3:23:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty3
4:23:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty4
5:23:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty5
6:23:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty6

which will give you 6 virtual consoles in text mode runlevel 3, but only 2 when
X is up in runlevel 5.

установленной памяти...

Что будет, если я в 3-м ранлевеле войду на 6-й консоли, а потом к.-л. образом 
перейду в 5-й ранлевел?
