Description Mikhail Zabaluev 2002-05-02 18:04:08 MSD
Emacs-nox, being run in an rxvt window, utilizes xterm mouse events. But this functionality is broken, as it confesses on every button click:
Symbol\'s function definition is void: track-mouse
As a result, it\'s impossible to paste an X selection content on a Mouse-2 click.

Tested on emacs-nox-21.2-alt16.

The mouse doesn\'t set the cursor\'s position in an emacs-nox in an rxvt (or Eterm). pressing the middle button prints warning about set-mouse-position function.

`emacs-X11 -nw\' behaves better.

I still see it in 21.4-alt4

Более того, этот баг и в emacs22 наблюдается.

Emacs-nox is *NOT* intended to run in an rxvt window.
use any other 'emacs -nw' instead.

Emacs-nox is a special sysadmin's build of emacs, not linked with X11 libs,
for X11-less system.

On usual system, please do not install emacs-nox.
just run 'emacs -nw'
