$ rpm -qf "$(which fc-list)" fontconfig-2.6.0-alt1 $ The Erzya and Moksha orthographies use the same alphabet as the Russian language (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erzya#Writing, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moksha_language#Writing_system ); and these languages have ISO 639-2 codes: "myv", "mdf". fontconfig doesn't know about the orthographies of these languages: $ fc-list :lang=myv | wc 0 0 0 $ fc-list :lang=mdf | wc 0 0 0 $ fc-list :lang=ru | wc 309 988 16439 $ -- it is expected that the lists for Russian and for Erzya or Moksha will be the same. (/usr/share/doc/fontconfig*/fontconfig-user.html says: "Fontconfig has orthographies for several languages built into the library. ... It currently supports 122 of the 139 languages named in ISO 639-1, 141 of the languages with two-letter codes from ISO 639-2 and another 30 languages with only three-letter codes." The ISO 639-2 codes "myv" and "mdf" could well be added.)
