close-up of kernel panic

2.6.27-std-def-alt[234] (i586) would suspend to disk just fine on ThinkPad T41p but resuming would result in kernel panic.

What happens on alt4 with no_console_suspend is attached:

---
ACPI: Hardware changed while hibernated, cannot resume!
kernel panic not syncing: ACPI S4 hardware signature mismatch
---

Of course, the hardware is just the same, up to AC adaptor.

Sorry for very low readability of photos :-( I'm eager to read them for you.

Add acpi_sleep=s4_nohwsig to kernel command line.

2.6.27-std-def-alt8 shows this too (I've added the option, will try to reboot and suspend but if there's no real need in that broken hwsig code RMs better know in advance...).

So far it did help, thanks. Should work out-of-box though when the distro is released...
