Gsmartcontrol не может обновить базу через Options / Update Drive Database. Требует xterm и пакет smartmontools-update-drivedb, а именно утилиту /usr/sbin/update-smart-driverdb.

Тем самым для того, чтобы Gsmartcontrol мог обновить базы, нужно доустановить пакет xterm и smartmontools-update-drivedb, иначе сначала жалуется на отсутствие xterm, а потом на отсутствие /usr/sbin/update-smart-driverdb.

Предложение.
Сделать пакет xterm и smartmontools-update-drivedb зависимостями (или опциональными зависимостями).

Проверено на kworkstation-10.1-x86-64 (обновленный до Sisyphus).
