gucharmap-2.22.1-alt1.qa1

The column title should be "письмо", not "алфавит" (alphabet is just a certain type of a writing system).

Besides the individual corrections listed below, all the names should be lower-case, in neuter form (agreeing in gender with "письмо").

Some of the errors are not stylistic, but really confusing ones!

s/Балинезийский/балийское/
s/Бопомото/бопомофо/ (it was just a typo probably)
s/Глаголитические/глаголица/
s/Гурмухи/гурмукхи/
s/Иврит/еврейское/ (that's the alphabet, not the language)
s/Малайский/малаялам/ (Absolutely wrong translation!!! Malayalam is from India.)
s/Монголсикй/старомонгольское/ (http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A1%D1%82%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%BC%D0%BE%D0%BD%D0%B3%D0%BE%D0%BB%D1%8C%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%B5_%D0%BF%D0%B8%D1%81%D1%8C%D0%BC%D0%BE )
s/Мьянмский/бирманское/ (http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%91%D0%B8%D1%80%D0%BC%D0%B0%D0%BD%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%B5_%D0%BF%D0%B8%D1%81%D1%8C%D0%BC%D0%BE )
s/Новый Тайский Ле/новое тай-лы/ ("лы" is the best approximation to the pronunciation of the name: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tai_L%C3%BC_language )
s/Огхам/огам/
s/Османский/сомалийское/ (One more absolutely wrong!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osmanya_alphabet)
s/Рунический/руны/
s/Сингалезский/сингальское/
s/Старый персидский/древнеперсидское/
s/Старый итальянский/италийские/ (http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%AD%D1%82%D1%80%D1%83%D1%81%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9_%D0%B0%D0%BB%D1%84%D0%B0%D0%B2%D0%B8%D1%82 ; plural because there were many related alphabets; Etruscan is one of them)
s/Тайский Ле/тай-ле/ (until a specialist tells what is the conventionally used Russian name for this language)
s/Угиратский/угаритское/ (seems like a typo)
s/Шавиан/имени Шоу/ (named after G.B. Shaw (see Wikipedia); as far as I can tell, such adjectives in -vian are translated into Russian just by the genetive of the person's name, which concides with the nominative: "Montegovian something" = "что-то там Монтегю")
s/Юи/и/

(What an idiot did the translation?! If I noticed that there are that many errors before I started writing this bugreport, I would just say that the translation should be thrown away, because it wasn't useful, the English one was simply clearer. I wish I had never started gucharmap in Russian locale!)

Many scripts are called in Unicode not by their own names (of the script), but rather by the name of the language; and these are good English constructions: e.g., "the Bengali script" == "the script used for Bengali". But in Russian, the script in such cases can't be just called by the name of the language: either an adjective should be used explicitly, or the proper name of the script. So:

s/Бенгапи/бенгальское/ (The proper name of the script is "бонгаккхор"; "бенгали" is just the language; and to name the script, we should use an adjective. http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%91%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B3%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%B8#.D0.9F.D0.B8.D1.81.D1.8C.D0.BC.D0.B5.D0.BD.D0.BD.D0.BE.D1.81.D1.82.D1.8C )

s/Бугинский/бугийское/ (http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A1%D1%83%D0%BB%D0%B0%D0%B2%D0%B5%D1%81%D0%B8%D0%B9%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B5_%D1%8F%D0%B7%D1%8B%D0%BA%D0%B8 , http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%91%D1%83%D0%B3%D0%B8%D1%81%D1%8B )

s/Бухид/бухидское/ ("бухид" could probably denote just the language, not the script; an adjective should be formed to name the script; see also http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A4%D0%B8%D0%BB%D0%B8%D0%BF%D0%BF%D0%B8%D0%BD%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B5_%D1%8F%D0%B7%D1%8B%D0%BA%D0%B8 )

s/Тагалог/тагальское/ (Again, "тагалог" could be the name of the language, not of the script; the proper name of the script is "байбайин" or possibly "тагальское" (письмо) in order to keep with the designation used in Unicode. http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A2%D0%B0%D0%B3%D0%B0%D0%BB%D1%8C%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9_%D1%8F%D0%B7%D1%8B%D0%BA#.D0.91.D0.B0.D0.B9.D0.B1.D0.B0.D0.B9.D0.B8.D0.BD )

A further (usability) suggestion. In cases when there are names for a script which are better understandable by ordinary people (i.e., in normal Russian words), first to give that name, and after that in brackets the cryptic name. So (I found just one such case):

it should be written "Монгольское квадратное (пагба)".

В 4.1/branch исправления не будут вноситься уже технически (заглушена очередь на сборку), поэтому прошу ошибки, актуальные для sisyphus/p7/t7, перевесить на текущие ветки или сизиф.
