Alt-E for the "Edit" menu works. Hence, another workaround: Alt-E, then left. Not reproduced on my machine. Check that Alt-F is not a shortcut for another action, looks very likely. As mentioned above. |
gedit-2.24.2-alt1 (also installed: gedit-plugins-2.20.0-alt1.1 gedit-plugins-seahorse-2.24.0-alt2 gedit-plugin-devhelp-0.19-alt2.qa1 ) How to reproduce: start gedit, press Alt-F. Result: it beeps. Expected: one gets into the "File" menu ("F" in "File" is even underlined). Workaround: use the mouse.
