OTOH most PCI soundcards seem to get configured with installer? (I may be wrong)

**maybe** I'd try to install with APIC disabled (my Sisyphus system runs with
ACPI enabled, APIC/LAPIC disabled)

2 pilot: could you re-check this at your system?

PS: "major" since SBLive! is quite popular, we *must* configure it properly :-(

Выгрузил весь звук и загрузил emu10k1 (OSS, имени Creative Labs) -- просто
заработал.  Есть подозрение, что по умолчанию нам стоит конфигурировать именно его.

Кстати. На ALSA у меня mencoder и mp1e так и не записали звук (полная тишина). С
OSS проблема исчезла.

вообще там полная 8^*&^ с микшером под alsa -- количество ходов конём до
звучащей конфигурации обычному юзеру запредельно.

есть рабочий снапшот состояния PCM Routing -- может, как-то его прикрутить?

надо завести новую багу и подумать как в зависимости от железки делать дефолтные
настройки для alsa.
