имеем отсутсвующий /usr/share/doc/alt-docs/index.html
$ ls /usr/share/doc/alt-docs/index.html
$ ls: /usr/share/doc/alt-docs/index.html: No such file or directory

что весьма скверно, ибо сам indexhtml-Desktop на этот файл и ссылается как на 
список документации

спасает
apt-get install --reinstall alt-docs-main

Подтверждаю, видел буквально намедни при обновлении Desktop до бранча.

нет. закрываем. indexhtml-Desktop более не использует альтернатив.
