В Xpdf - вместо русского текста показываются квадратики в меню,
(xpdf_bug.jpg)
при этом в консоль выдается:

в branch 4.0 выдавалось в консоль тоже самое (вроде) но текст в меню был английский.

шрифты вроде все стоят
rpm -qa|grep -i font >font_list.txt

Просьба Закрыть баг - была проблема обновления 
с branch 4.0 до branch 4.1

не был установлен xfs (x font server)

правда сейчас всё равно не находит

проблема в обновлении была связана с переходом от
xorg-x11-* to xorg-*
