A user has LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 by default, the root has LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8, the filenames are in UTF-8, but the default editor (vim-minimal-7.1.137-alt1) can't show this encoding.

Very inconvenient!

For example, on "git commit", "vi" is called, and you can't see the Russian filenames in the comments.
