Description Ivan Zakharyaschev 2008-12-28 23:14:37 MSK
I'd like to have a single "virtual" package which would install all packaged fonts for the writing systems of India, e.g.:

fonts-ttf-devanagari
fonts-bitmap-tamil
fonts-ttf-tamil
...

Or perhaps a broader selection of Indic (Brahmic) writing systems (+ tibetan, thai), or simply all the non-hieroglyphic writing systems of Asia. (Hieroglyphs occupy a lot of space, so many would prefer not to install them all, but the other "alphabets" are much smaller, and it would be nice to be able to install them with a single action, and then see nicely all the Asian inscriptions. Now there are too many individual packages for all the scripts.)

And similar "virtual" packages for other regions could be useful, e.g., a virtual package requiring all the fonts for the writing systems in ex-USSR.
