In M-x eshell, there is special completion for certain things (e.g., rpm -q ...TAB will complete the names of packages). It would be convenient to have it for man, too:

man ...TAB

could suggest the available manpages (as bash-completion does).

As for a workaround for invoking a man-reader in Emacs with completion for the argument, there is M-x woman.

(But woman doesn't use the man program, so it's not able to render correctly the same set of manpages, e.g., https://bugzilla.altlinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25262 .)

В 4.0/branch исправления не будут вноситься уже технически (заглушена очередь на сборку), поэтому прошу ошибки, актуальные для sisyphus/p7/t7, перевесить на текущие ветки или сизиф.

Ага, это я всегда хотел сделать, просто надо проверить актуальность.

emacs24-common-24.3-alt8 doesn't have this feature yet.
