Если пользователей брать из ldap (у меня через nss_ldap и pam_ldap), то dbus становится недоступным для пользователей. Пример:

[ivanov_maxim@maxim bin]$ lshal --monitor
error: dbus_bus_get: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

При этом в /var/log/messages
Apr 22 11:47:55 maxim dbus-daemon: nss_ldap: could not search LDAP server - Server is unavailable
Apr 22 11:47:58 maxim dbus-daemon: nss_ldap: failed to bind to LDAP server ldaps://ldap.local.my: Can't contact LDAP server


Стоит только перезапустить messagebus сервис всё приходит в норму.
