In seamonkey-1.1.18-alt2 run through "ssh -X -Y" (over a wireless network), I open, for example, the URL http://www.intuit.ru/department/os/osunix/ and the network gets stuffed (all SSH connections almost hang). This is obviously because of the traffic generated by gnash showing the moving pictures from the ads.

(AFAIR, mozilla-plugin-adobe-flash used not to work that bad.)

One quick workaround would be to simply switch off flash in the browser:

Perhaps, the following setting also could do something with the non-optimal usage of the X protocol by gnash -- an excerpt from /etc/gnashrc:
