Description Ivan Zakharyaschev 2011-02-01 00:18:20 MSK
kernel-image-std-def-2.6.32-alt20.M50P.1
lilo-22.7.3-alt5
bootloader-utils-0.4.8-alt2

I tried to install the new kernel from p5 on an older system (with
lilo-22.7.3-alt5 and bootloader-utils-0.4.8-alt2), and this failed
because the label was too long for lilo:

# lilo -v
< SKIPPED >
Boot image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-std-def-alt20.M50P.1
Mapping RAM disk /boot/initrd-2.6.32-std-def-alt20.M50P.1.img
Fatal: Image name, label, or alias is too long: '2632-std-def-20M50P1'
#

Perhaps, the new kernel should conflict with these utils to enable the
upgrade of kernel.

(lilo-22.7.3-alt6.M51.1 was fixed to handle this after #22616 .)
