В другие ядра работают, не пробовали?

Странно, УМВР. И ничего не тормозит, даже DOOM 3 (если ему в 800x600 разрешение выставить) :)
(В ответ на комментарий №5) > Странно, УМВР. И ничего не тормозит, даже DOOM 3 А я и не говорил, что должен затормозить DOOM 3, особенно у вас ;-) Самое очевидное, что всегда наблюдал с PREEMPT -- сильно проседает отзывчивость GUI при любых дисковых операциях.
С ядром un-def-2.6.37-alt4 и kernel-modules-nvidia-un-def-260.19.44-alt1.132645.4 загрузился нормально.
