I have Rubik screensaver chosen. Once when screensaver has fired up it started barfing many identical error messages, something about \"unrecognized message WM_PROTOCOLS\". This flood interrupted screensaver animation at regular intervals.
Mouse movements and button presses couldn\'t interrupt the malfunctioning screensaver.

The WM is Metacity.
With the recent metacity, xscreensaver and XFree86 the problem doesn\'t manifest itself.
